Have you noticed that gel polish, BIAB or gel nails can sometimes lift more easily during the summer months?
You are not alone warmer weather can bring extra challenges for nail enhancements. Higher temperatures, increased sweating, more water exposure and active summer routines can all affect the durability of your manicure.
But the longevity of your nails is not only about the products and the technique,
it is a teamwork between the nail technician and the client.
How can you help your nails last longer?
Keep your hands as dry as possible before your appointment.
During summer, our hands can sweat more easily. When preparing the natural nail, even a small amount of moisture can return quickly to the nail surface. Sweat can collect around the cuticle area and sidewalls, making the prepared nail surface less ideal for product adhesion.
For this reason, please avoid touching or rubbing your nails after they have been prepared. Natural oils and moisture from your fingers can transfer back onto the nail plate and may affect how well the product bonds.
Avoid using hand creams or oils before your appointment.
Please arrive with clean nails and avoid applying lotions, oils or sunscreen directly before your treatment.
Protect your nails after your appointment
The first hours after your treatment are important. Avoid prolonged water exposure, strong cleaning products and activities that put unnecessary pressure on your nails.
Regular maintenance matters
As your natural nails grow, the stress point changes. Booking your appointments at the recommended time helps keep your nails beautiful and reduces the risk of lifting.
Beautiful, long-lasting nails are created together, with professional preparation, quality products and your care at home.
Thank you for trusting me with your nails!
